Perspectives from Our Agency Leaders Dinner

Our Agency Leaders Dinner is built around a simple idea: bringing together exceptional agency leaders for the kind of candid conversations that rarely happen elsewhere.

Our latest gathering took place at Alta Adams in Los Angeles, where founders and agency leaders exchanged perspectives on the opportunities shaping today's independent agency landscape.

Every agency at the table had a different story, a different model, and a different growth trajectory. Yet when leaders described what they were seeing in their own businesses, a few of the same themes kept surfacing.

Client relationships have become less predictable

Even long-standing accounts are behaving differently than they did a year ago. Unexpected departures came up more than once, and they're putting a premium on diversification and proactive client management.

New business is taking longer to win

Opportunities are still moving forward, but decisions are taking longer as organizations work through more scrutiny, more stakeholders, and tighter budgets.

Pipelines are feeling softer

Several leaders described a more competitive environment, one where positioning, differentiation, and disciplined business development carry more weight than they used to.

What stood out most wasn't the challenges themselves. It was the willingness to discuss them openly. Despite different agencies, markets, and growth trajectories, many of the same themes emerged around the table.

To everyone who joined us, thank you for making these conversations possible. If you lead an independent agency and want a seat at a future Agency Leaders Dinner, reach out — we’d love to hear from you.
